I saw this one gaining some popularity, I plan to order it myself to try it out, like the simplicity and the easy to clean factor, I hate the cinch ones!

I like the idea of an apron. That will work down the line. Right now with working on the basics Frankie pays too much attention to the treat bag if I have it in front or on my side. That's why I want one that would be easy to dig into with it against my back, further away from his nose, lol.

I'm still undecided on a treat bag. I just did a little "test" with a small cross body bag I have. Based on that, the most comfortable opening for me for a treat pouch would be 6" wide. Online description rarely specify the size of the opening. If anyone has one with that size opening I'd love to hear,

i have these…
  • Ruffwear Treat Trader
  • Doggone Good Rapid Rewards
  • Petsafe Treat Pouch (hinge)
of the three, the only one i love is Doggone Good Rapid Rewards…
I feel the same about the Doggone Good treat bag. I've used many over the years, mostly the hinge type (and yes, the hinges seem to have a short life), this is the only one I've returned to and purchased again.

What I love:
Plenty of room for a lot of treats, and also big enough to stash a ball on a rope.
Side pockets - I put a clicker in one and poop bags in the other.
Front pocket is just large enough to carry my ID and a credit card.
Inside pocket separate from the treats fits my cell phone.
Back hidden zipper pocket - I stash an emergency $20 bill and trail maps here, plus a couple of individually wrapped hand wipes.

I got one of these, its a chalk bag but works great as a treat bag and looks cool too :)

I totally get your struggle with finding the perfect treat pouch – it can be a real challenge. From your description, it sounds like you want something super convenient and reliable. Have you considered checking out https://www.interplas.com? They have a variety of options, and you might find one that fits your criteria perfectly. I personally haven't used one with a magnet closure, but it sounds like a great idea for quick access to treats. The wider-than-high design also makes total sense for easy reach.

I've tried lining my own pockets with a plastic bag. Sadly not many of my pants or shirts have decent pockets. I used a shirt pocket once. That worked well but now each time I wear that shirt the dogs hope for rewards
