I had a white shepard that had to be "watered" every time you watered the plants in the yard. She would even drink from the sprinkler. She did that every chance she got.

Mine loves the water big time too...........She goes nuts whenever I take a bath or shower.....unbelievable

It seems to me that from what I've seen and what you are all saying is that GSDs love the water more than the Labs and Goldens I know. I have 6 dogs of different breeds and 5 of them love the water. The WGSDs love it the most but our Rotti girl, AmStaff boy and Husky girl are getting as bad as the others. Mine also started out with their water bowls in the house and playing in the bathtub to any thing out side that includes water. I love it. LOL..Have to have a lot of towels though...

Raven is scared to death of water...I don't think she ever really came in contact with water and I can guarentee she never had a bath before I got her.
When I last bathed her....( we have a grooming room at the shelter I work) it took me and another tech and we were soaked. She was climbing up and over my head literally to get away from the water acting like I was trying to kill her..lol

Mine have always loved the water, even baths with the hose -- sometimes especially baths with the hose. I take them to the ocean, used to swim with them up north in reservoirs. And have put them in a few pools.
