I just spoke with the shelter manager. They are in "negotiations" with the owners. She isn't realy happy with them so we will see what happens.

She will call me and let me know.

The director wasn't happy that it took the owners so long to come to the shelter for her. She was also making them show her proof of stuff. I will follow up and see what is going on.

I thought most shelters only have to keep a dog a few days and then they can place it, euthanize it or send it to a rescue? If her owners are taking so long then they definitely don't deserve this little sweetie!

Does anyone know how long dogs usually have at this shelter?
