First, what country are you in? You would need to start looking there for breeders.

Second, why do you want lines that were bred to hunt down people escaping the USSR? If it's a farm, wouldn't you want herding ability over aggression?

I think before anyone can answer that question, maybe you can expand what you are looking for and why you think the DDR or Czech - non mixed lines becaues they are all purebred -are what you need?

Note what Bear said. Pure DDR dogs are still available, but they are very inbred at this point & some can be nervy. The old lines from many decades back brought valuable traits like active aggression & strong tracking, but they could lack biddability. This is why good breeders mixed them with other lines to get a balanced dog. You'll find most of the Czech dogs are mixed with dogs from other regions as well. Most people on here that have a working line dog is a mix of dogs from many regions Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Czech & DDR. I would recomend looking for the traits you want & then find a breeder that breeds for that & forget about what line the dog is from. Most of the good ones today are generally a mix of all working lines.

I would highly recommend you find a litter of GSD pups closer to home....any "type" will be able to be a companion and jog with you - but not before it's growth plates are closed at about 2 years old.

The sheer expense of importing a pup from Germany to the Philippines would be astronomical....the current probable temperament would not be conducive to a social house pet.........

actually i've been thinking if i should get one from Dejuco or Kraftwerk k9
Kraftwerk? Why? Their prices are robbery. $8500 for a "trained" puppy! Trained in WHAT?! A puppy from the U.S. should cost 2500-3500 U.S. dollars plus shipping.

As far as the other - never heard of them but they have a mix of West German and Czech lines, predominantly from Christina at von Wendelin in Canada. I don't see any working certs or titles on their breeding stock to prove the dogs. they do have health testing and hip/elbows done. if that's the direction you want to go, then just contact Christina directly. Another Czech line breeder in the U.S. would be Weberhaus.

Start with the reference Dennis gave you.

I also would not touch Kraftwerk with a 10 ft pool. They are a big commercial operation that is so beyond OVERPRICED. You will not get a better pup regardless of all their marketing & hype. Look for smaller knowledgeable folks that work their dogs & do all the health testing. Honestly I don't think you need to spend over $3K for a nice working line pup, shipping would be an additional cost.
