What do you think--will she be plush or long-stock coat?

This is all just for fun and I am posting out of curiosity :) Zea has been home for a week now and she's fitting in with the household wonderfully.

I don't know which way to think about her coat! She looks 'fluffier' to me than short stock coats... so I suppose that possibility might be out :p I'm by no means a expert on coat lengths, however, which is why I'm posting.

Here are some pictures of my Zea. What coat length do you think she will be as an adult? A GSD person I spoke with today thinks she will be plush, and I'm sort of leaning towards that now too!

Let me know if you would like better pictures. Thank you in advance!

Thank you for the replies, everybody :)

Falon, thank you so much for that link! It was so helpful. And it's good to know about the whole 'either stock or long-coat' thing, too, as I was confused about that for a while. Before now I haven't given any thought to coat lengths, so this is all new to me!

Your Kastle is gorgeous--I just spent the past ten minutes going through his pictures. Like you I would have liked a 'shorter' stock coat too, but hey... I'm not complaining since Kastle is a wonderful example.

If I had to go out on a limb here, I would say she's not quite *as* coated as Kastle was in his puppy pictures. I notice that the black going down her back doesn't stand up like it did with Kastle but I don't know if that's a deciding factor, LOL.

Thanks again guys!

Did you see the puppy pictures I posted in Falon's Kastle thread? Her coat wasn't as full as his either, but she's got the hairy Hobbit feet, the thick plumy tail, and the ear floofies.

Point taken! After looking at Zea some more tonight I'm leaning more towards her being pretty long now too. She's got some butt fluff on her for sure and the hair behind her ears is indeed crimped. 'Hobbit feet'... that sounds so cute :) Also, the featherings on her legs is pretty noticeable too. I can't wait to see how she turns out.

Doggiedad, my breeder told me that she will 'lose her coat' as she matures... but from what I see of her and looking at pictures of other long stock coat puppies, I personally don't think that it's the case!
