my German Shepherd has floppy ears and i want to know if its ok to breed him if he has floppy ears.
Zira does have a long tongue, always has been too big for her. We also live in Florida, so it's extremely hot with high humidity year around. It's rare to be outside and not see the dogs with their tongues out, it's their internal A/C system.Tricky shepherd ... What is up with Zira? Her tongue too big? I love all the tongue out pics.

Oh, I just saw this lolThis thread is 4 months old. Pretty sure the OP has left the building
Yes. I have been breeding German shepherds since 2010 it's 2024 almost 2025. I own both the Sire and Dam fully health tested and titled. I have 3 litters with this pair 27 puppies total ONLY 1 pups ears are "Broken" i am breeding him. Long story short I kept a male as a stud prospect his older brother broke his ears as a puppy we tried taping/posting ears didn't help as the cartilage was already broke. you MUST look at the "whole" dog. The dog I'm going to breed with floppy ears still has 4 titles with akc ( CGC,BCAT,RAT,TKN) going for dock dive next, OFA Excellent/Normal, DM,MDR1, PD clear. Dogs flawless genetic wise and the pedigree is very nice, Passed temperament test. Floppy ears from brother. So what does your dog being to the table to breed? What are you goals?my German Shepherd has floppy ears and i want to know if its ok to breed him if he has floppy ears.
Before jumping to conclusions read some of the thread and look at the OP'S other posts. The ear set wasn't the major issue for others to recommend not breeding.Think about starting your own thread about thoughtful breeding programsYes.
