Please come adopt me from 10:00- 6:00pm daily *EXCEPT WEDNESDAYS*- Wednesdays are CLOSED. Open, too, every SATURDAY + SUNDAY from 1:00-5:00. <span style="color: #FF0000">CALL 706.236.4545</span>. Rescue Groups: Please see the NEW policy FOR RESCUES @ http://www.floydcountyga.org/animalcontrol. This rural shelter is humane, but unfortunately must make room constantly for too many incoming pets. They have vast numbers of new pets surrendered daily. Thank you.

Why does GA make it so difficult for out of state rescues?!

I need to have a Dept. of Ag license from GA to pull this girl.

Is there a rescue in GA that is approved to pull from this shelter? I need to let them know by the time they close today or she will be PTS tomorrow!

Mark, I will help you. I can be on the road in time to get there before shelter close today. I'm emailing you my phone number if you want to call the shelter and let them know someone is on the way. We'll work out details as we go. I can board her at my vet or possibly in my kitchen if she's not cat-aggressive. After this weekend, I can get her to Cincinnati to meet transport or if you need longer temp foster, I can get her secured in Lexington for several weeks.

Her big ole fuzzy head looks like my Suma... and I can't sit here and do nothing.

What is wrong with this picture?

If you are a rescue - you need to be approved, be in the state of GA, and have a Dept. Of Ag. license

If you are Joe Shmoe off the street with a drivers license you can adopt any dog you want!

Glad to help! Speeding down I-75 and about 40 miles to the GA state line. Stopping in Ringold to pull Tess's boy to drop him off at boarding in Rome & then on my way to pick her up. More soon!

I have her, she is safe. Got there on a wing and a prayer with only 15 minutes to spare. Will post more when I can.
