My new favorite picture of Lola. For now anyhow, lol.

Does this sweet little girl look mean?? A lady at the park today told their kid not to go near her because she's mean and will bite him. Now, I'm glad the mom didn't just let the kid come over without asking. But seriously?? She had say my dog will bite him? I wouldn't take a dog to a park with children around if my dog was mean and was going to bite. But she must have had an intense look to her today because everyone but one little girl and her dad stayed clear of her.

That is a great photo! :)

Awee ear floofies, a semi-head tilt and puppy-dog eyes. How on earth can that be mean? C:

In all honesty though, IMO, you are right that GSDs have an intense look to them and this may come off as 'mean' looking. Despite how cute she looks in this picture, she really does have an intensity to her. I think it's her 'mask'.

Don't feel offended.

Don't let those rude, ill-informed people upset you or Lola, she is beautiful and being a long coat, I bet she has a very friendly nature.

Some people hate our breed and nothing you do will convince them otherwise. I have experienced similar attitudes from people, all you can do it ignore them and don't let them bring you down.

What a beauty. No fear here--just want to throw a ball for her.

Thanks everyone!!!

I know she's not mean and I know the perception of them is that they are. And really one of the reasons I got her. But it just drives me crazy that instead of saying something like "We don't know that dog, it may not be nice." She has to go an assume that I'm a bad person by bringing a furious dog to a playground where kids are around.
