Nupro isn't strong enough to be a true liver detox...

The native remedy stuff looks interesting. There are a zillion good liver support formulas out there.

Thanks Lisa!! She's much perkier this morning. If she keeps her water down I'll give her some chicken noodle soup.

I wanted to order some slippery elm while I was at it. But there are so many choices! Which one would I want for stomach upset?

Woohoo!! After a little regurg this morning and a zantac she's managed to keep down water and a bit of chicken soup!

Remember not to rush the solids! Charcoal before bed will always help in instances where something like zantac is useful.

I don't know about the slippery elm -- will have to defer to Ruth or the other SE users out there!

If something like this ever happens again I would use the homeopathic remedy nux vomica.

Thanks Ruth! I'll order some of that wiht the liver detox Lisa listed. She yacked up the chicken noodle soup broth the last time but kept most of her liquids down today. She is definitely better today though.

I did not know until 10 minutes ago that she knew the word "food". She raced right out to the kitchen looking a tme like "well...are you coming?!" I gave her a bite of my salmon patty. If she can keep that down I'll find something light for her to eat.

My terror is back in force!! Seems she has two days to make up for! I have her a piece of fish this morning and will add to it if she continues to keep it down.

I gave her zantac this morning and a small amount of fish. I heard a little burp just now, which seemed to preceed her throwing up on Saturday. Can I give her some Gas-x to get rid of any gas in her stomach?

The slippery elm will do what the Zantax does but better.

I would hold off on giving her tons of that stuff. That might upset her system further.

She gagged a couple times today but has otherwise been fine. I have her a zantac this morning. she got a full meal tonight. Fingers crossed that it stays down.

Is it possible to develop seperation anxiety in one day? She's been going nuts all weekend whenever I put my shoes on. She's never done that before.

I'll order the slippery Elm with the lever detox Lisa suggested. Can't find any in our area.

GO SLOW! She will not be better in a day or two, though it may seem like it at times! She's just not feeling quite right yet.

1/2 meals? She gagged a few times today but her muscles must be working better today because she didn't throw up at all. She won't be getting any zantac tomorrow and I won't be home so I'm a little worried.

Why no zantac? Not that I'm necessarily in favor of using it, but if it has been working, and you're nervous, and you won't be home?

Definitely NOT full meals. Smaller meals are better. Remember, the solids aren't as important as keeping hydrated. Then go back to regular feeding very slowly.

The vet said three days and today was the third so I didn't pick anymore up. we do have pepcid and tums but I don't know if she can have that since it's a different medicine.

I'll cut her meals in half.
