Hi everyone
I'm needing advice please on which type of brush to use on my boy bear.
He is long coated 11 weeks old and currently a ball of puppy fluff.
Which type of brush would you guys recommend to use on him until he's bigger and I can get him a proper adult brush.

Thanks in advance

Get a decent quality slicker brush, an undercoat rake and a comb. I also got a mat splitter comb because they can build up on the neck where the collar sits. A lot of people like the Furminator and others would never used it.

Car2ner listed all the tools I used with adult long-coats. Someone used to make a comb specifically for long coated dogs. It really worked well but they no longr make it .... (hey, don't say I'm not helpful!!) With a pup, I'd be inclined to use a bristle brush. Cheap one from the dollar store because you won't use it long.

I brush mine every night. I'm too cheap to spend that kind of money. Cheaper brushes last about two years so consider replacement costs.

I used the shedding blade on my gal-dog who has a regular coat. I'm not very happy with the blue comb. The yellow under coat rake is by JW and I'm very pleased with it. The slicker brush and mat comb are by Safari and both new this spring so I have no idea how long they'll last. So far so good.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I'll buy a few different ones and see how they are. My partner isn't keen on me spending 60 bucks on a brush but I'll no doubt get it anyway lol. Been using a rake and brush that I had laying around and they're kind of helping out but want to get something that will keep him looking good. The weather here in Scotland isn't very good at the moment and he's getting wet every time he goes out so need a good rake will try out the JW one see how that helps. Thanks again, very much appreciate the feedback

Truthfully, I’m scared to brush Milo.. I might find a family of field mice living somewhere in his rear area
lol, gross
maasai hates me - grooming is my favorite pastime. so satisfying. yesterday she got a bath, brush, ears, teeth and nails!
