Can't comment on the pedigree, but wondered if you asked why he was returned?

I'm sorry, I was confused. He was held back, not returned. He's 17 months old.

So that's a good thing if you trust the breeder. They should be able to tell you all about his habits, temperament etc. No surprises like if he had been placed and returned.
