My 2 yo does good when we are training the recall because she knows what to so to get the treat. But when she is off lease she does not listen at all. although if i am trying to get her to focus and get her back pn leash i tell her down and she some times listens. i take her to a trainer and we are working on it, but I was just wondering of any body has any tips

I suggest you practice in a large fenced in area like a playground when no one is around. Let her walk around loose - whenever she comes to you give her a treat - then practice with calling her to you - again give her a treat. Then start to space out the treats so sometimes she just gets your praise. The goal is for her to learn that it is fun to stay by you and that when she responds to the recall, it does not mean she will be put back on the leash. You could try also working with a long line - 50 ft. Again rewarding her when she comes to near you and also when she responds to the recall. What also helps is when you call her - turn walk in the other direction - she may then follow more quickly - again reward her when she comes near you.

work with her on a short lead and make her come everytime
you say it. "come" is a one word command. when she gets solid
at coming on lead start off lead but at a very short distance.
have your dog sit in front of you and take two steps backwards
and say "come". two steps backwards lead to 4 steps backwards
and 4 steps backwards leads to 7 steps backwards and so on.
keep training untill you can be out of sight and say "come" and she
comes. slowly add in distractions.
