Who is training who?

Since the day we got Rocky he has had problems with his ears. Our vet has finally just given us a big bottle of Otomax to use as necessary.

A little while ago, Rocky came in and did his stare thing, so of course I said show me, and he starts down the hallway stopping every 2 feet to make sure I am following him, he walks into the kitchen and looks at the fridge. Of course I am thinking Cheese but he will normally bark at the fridge door so I am baffled.

I asked him again to show me, so he lays down and looks toward the top of the fridge when it hit me. We keep his ear med up there where no little ones can get hold of it. I picked up the bottle and show him and he walks over to me and laid down as soon as I finished the first ear he got up shook his head and laid down so I could do the second one. LOL

I guess on somethings he has me trained LOL

Oh you are lucky!! My dogs see the ear cleaning bottle and RUN as if there was a fire or something!

Onyx knows which one is our vitamin/meds cabinet in the kitchen. I keep her ear stuff in it too and she knows when it is time for ear treatment. She is such a good girl about it. I feel bad that her ear hasn't cleared up, but she is getting tested for allergies, so maybe we can get this taken care of soon! She also knows, when I grab my cell phone that it is time to go in her crate... even if I don't lock her in she goes automatically. Aren't GSD's the smartest???

Yes they are. It amazes me the things they understand. Rocky has not issues with anything to dow ith his ears.

Oh I love how astute they are but then again it's kind of a pain sometimes.

Annabelle knows when I tie my hair back we are going for a walk and she gets all excited. Well sometimes I'm just tying it back to tie it back and then I feel guilty because she thinks we are going out and we are not.

She also knows when I grab my MP3 player we are going for a walk.

When I grab my keys and purse she goes into her crate.

When I reach into the "doggie medicine cabinet" she tries to squeeze her 70 lb. butt under my bed.

LOL Rocky could never fit under our bed. I grab socks and Nikes and he knows I am going out. I grab keys and he knows it is a ride. I open the freezer and he is waiting by his food bowl for ice cream. LOL

They just amaze me.

Oh Annabelle doesn't fit either. She tries though everytime. Then when she realizes that she can't fit she jumps on top of it, hunkers down and gives me that "oh please no" look. Very pathetic!

Sarge is not a fan of ear cleaning. When the bottle comes out he walks aways lays down with that, please dont claen my ears look. He loves to have his ears touched and scratched but when he sees that bottle...oh man.lol

I am so glad I don't have the problem with Rocky. Biggest problem I have with is ears is he get confused at to which one has already been done LOL
