Does anyone know of anything that be "painted" on sutures, that is safe, to keep dog from licking them. Chloe just had surgery to remove a small lump on mammary, and keeps trying to lick the "wound". They gave us an E-Collar but that isn't working out to well. I have heard of the No Bite Collar, but that will take some time to get. We need something now to try.
Thanks

We thought about that but the surgery was back to far and t shirt wouldn't cover it. Also thought about boxer shorts and tried that for spay sugery and that didn't work either, she would be able to get under it.

I have used 2 t-shirts, one on the front as you expect but the other faced the back and then pulled them both snug from the bottom and rubber banded them together at the top...very comfy for our female recovering from the same surgery and basically two layers of fabric to protect the healing wound. Looked a little silly but she never minded.

For a tail injury we needed to add a duct tape "extension" to the E-collar making it MUCH longer so she could not reach her tail... more challenging with clever, driven dogs with long muzzles!!!
