If that woman loved her little dog so much she should not allow it to run free. The husband is at fault just as much as the dog and wife.

The DOG is at no fault, it cannot control what its owners do to it or for it, the dog was only acting as it was taught. The way I read it the wife wasn't there, so how do you know things would not have been different had she been there? She cannot control what her husband does whens he is not around.

Ya, sadly unless everyone is on the same page on what to do how to treat and how to train the dog, it doesn't do much good for the dog :/
