I have one question:

What does it mean if your dog sits down and drags it's butt across the grass with his or her front paws?

It's like the dog is wiping his or her butt.

It can mean impacted anal glands, which are irritating to the dog. If they are trying to leave their "mark" I have heard they might do this (sometimes you notice them kicking the grass or dirt w/ their back legs). Keep and eye, and if it continues, contact your vet. It is a very common procedure to express the dog's anal glands in the vet office.

Oh, I don't have a dog right now, it's just something I've seen in the past and I was wondering whether it meant the dog had worms.

our pomeranian is being treated today for a tapeworm and she was doing the same thing...

Could be anal glands, worms, or just being itchy or just needing to "wipe".

Did anyone see the commercial they had on television with a dog doing it across the rug? Can't remember what the ad was for but it was hysterical.
Another reason we don't have rugs.
