My trainer asked me if I knew what commercial foods are best for shepherds with EPI. She has a client whose young shepherd is very sick with EPI, very recently diagnosed.

I know almost nothing about EPI, but I told her that I know a lot of *experts* who know everything there is to know on the subject.

I have a gsd with EPI and he is doing very well on Canidae all life stages...but he is also on Viacase which is the key to keeping him healthy.

My experience with EPI has been that any quality food will suffice, along with the Viokase or Pancreazyme.

We're also having success with Canidae, mixed with either Pancreatin or raw pork pancreas.

I feed my EPI dog 1/2 ration of Purina ProPlan Sensitive Skin & Stomach and 1/2 Solid Gold Hund N Flocken. He doesn't do well with chicken, beef, or corn.
