..about Brewer's Yeast with Garlic for dogs. I saw some in the store the other day and it caught my eye as I have never heard or seen of it before. Anyone have any experiences with using Brewers Yeast with Garlic for dogs? I have heard it can cause bloat but unsure if that is true. Also, Isn't garlic toxic to dogs?

Too much garlic could be bad for your dog but garlic is not toxic.-it is used frequently. It's said that garlic can act as a repellent for mosquitos and bugs. I've used the brewer's yeast w/ garlic with Kayla in the past for several years.

We now use the following Springtime Inc. product.

Springtime Bug-off Garlic Chewables
I know companies use it, but I no longer add it. The ASPCA doesn't think it's safe. The dose for toxicity or safeness hasn't been determined.

I use it all the time with my dogs and hadn't had fleas in over 3 years I haven't used advantage in over 2 yrs either no flea problems or anything
I add garlic powder for just about every meal (once daily). Been doing it for nearly a year and so far, so good. It doesn't prevent fleas as we have them bad here but it does go a long way to keeping them down when used with frontline plus. I want to try that "Bug Off" garlic stuff sometime.
I give both to my dogs. Well, actually brewer's yeast to one, and garlic to the other.
