My GSD, Keeli, is eight years old and an outside dog. She still acts like a puppy and wants to plays but is a little calmer. I can already tell this Summer is going to be HOT! I was thinking yesterday about ways to cool off and I thought of a small pool of water but Keeli HATES water, the only thing she'll do with a pool of water is drink it. Lol. I can't think of anything else. Have any ideas?

Fill liter bottles with water and freeze- Stosh likes them in his kennel when were at herding trials. He lays with his chest over them and it helps a lot. There are also cooling vests, towels and bandannas you can buy. Does Keeli even hate water from the hose? If not she can chase and bite the spray and cool off.

Not sure where you live, but when it warms up around here we head up to the mountains and go camping. The temperature difference can be 10-15 degrees cooler and even moreso at night.
