My GSD mix is on taste of the wild high prairie puppy formula and is 16 weeks old. I give her four cups a day, what is the best time to switch to adult formula and lower her down from four cups?

Kylie is 9 months and about 55 pounds and is still getting 3.5-4 cups daily. I plan to keep her on puppy food until at least 1 year, maybe to 18mo.

You could switch to an ALS formula now and never have to switch again if you'd like ... just have to adjust the amount you feed based on age, weight, body condition, activity level, etc. If you are going to stick to a puppy formula then I'd keep her on it until at least a year old, even then, the amount fed will vary based on age, activity level, weight, etc.

I stuck with about 14 months for puppy formula but I saw no more height growth after 12 months.

I never wound up reducing our food amount.
