Early this morning I pulled a new stainless bucket from the dishwasher for the dogs water. Onyx has never seen it. I filled it and put it where the water dish goes. About an hour later the dogs start barking and looking out the back door, near their water/feeding area.
Turns out Onyx was barking at the new bucket! It took her a couple of minutes to figure out it was ok and this is what she gets water from. She has seen them at dog training, so it was weird that she reacted like that. Very observant

Isn't it funny how they spot something new in their territory? LOL
I love it because it shows they're really watching out, more than we think they are!

When we lived with my MIL. I had the dogs in their crates in her screened in cover porchs at night as she didnt want them in and I didnt want them out.

Well, Buddy kept barking and barking and barking. Normally not as long as he was.

I would open the door to see what it was and it wasnt ever anything. So finally I got sneaky to see if I could see where he was barking without him seeing me opening the door and turning his attention on me.

It was dark but there was a little light...


He was barking at his tug o' war rag beside his crate like it was an evil thing.....

Once I moved it, he was fine the rest of the night.

I guess he thought it was a snake or something.
