weather and behavior

Just wondering, does your dog's behavior change depending on the weather? Lola seems more active (at least longer) in this cooler weather we have been having than she did in the Texas summer, or is it just her age and the weather is just a coincidence?

Yes my dogs behavior depends on the weather. It's been hot here in so cal and Dodger doesn't want to make any unnessasary movements. I would like to do dodges CGC test on a somewhat warm day that way (I hope) he won't want to make any unnessasary movements lol.

That is a good idea! *note to self, do CGC test in summer :D
Oh definately your dog will be more active in the winter. My two go crazy with this cooler weather. Victor wants to go out all the time now. We live in a wooded area and the deer and rabbits are active when it is cooler so he has to go patrol his fenceline. Victor and the puppy run full laps in the mornings when it is cold. They were more inactive this summer and always went for a shaded area. My shepherds love the cold.
yes, the weather affects them. When its cooler, my dogs lose their minds with energy in turn making me go crazy because they just will not stop and slow down. When its hot, they sleep and sleep and sleep and occassionally decide they're thirsty and then back to the snore fest.
Arlo doesnt have an effect With weather. Here in CO we get over 300 days of sunshine, more than hawaii ;-)

Temps in summer around 85 with 10% humid. Hes just as active in warm as in cold. Im hoping though, when we get to Seattle he will calm down on raining days. I love walking in a shower, but in a heavy rain not so much..

I live out here in Aurora by DIA and every day to work I see the white caps. Then from my office this time of year I see the sunset.

Ill trade you though. I hate all this sunshine. Way too much sunshine. It actually makes me depressed..probably why I want to go back to Seattle

He calms in the rain, Lola gets so excited when we get to walk in the rain (and after she gets nice and tired, we watch a zombie movie =D "they're coming to get you Barbara" )

Lol I feel like it's cheating.
My dogs love the cooler weather, as soon as it gets chilly they do get more active and some zoomies as well :)
I'm in florida so very simliar weather to you, Blitz deff has a hop in her step the last few days with 45 degree mornings we have been having!
Not really. The only change I see with Deuce is that he doesn't want to poop outside when it's raining ;)
Skylar is way more active in the fall than she was in summer, and she mostly sleeps on rainy days, but if it's sunny and cool she has tons of energy!
