Walking not quite right?

I first noticed Shya walking a little odd when we saw her around 3/3½ weeks old. I figured it was just because she was still young and just starting to really use her legs and run, etc. Now that she's been home nearly a week, she is still walking funny. It's like her back legs almost cross when she walks. She doesn't seem to be in any pain and she still runs around like a normal puppy would. I've moved her legs around and felt & rubbed them and she didn't mind and didn't seem to be in any sort of pain.

Does anyone know what this could be?

We don't go to the vet til next week. I am worried that it is going to be something major and she is only 8 weeks old. The breeder had all the pups vet checked with clean bills of health and normal developement and both parents have OFA certs. for hips & elbows. Sigh....

If I were you, I'd have my dog X-Rayed again, just to be sure. I'd call the breeder you got her from and asked if it's possible that she could have gotten an injury after she was checked. I hope it's nothing, poor girl!
Will they xray an 8 week old puppy?
Hmmm...I didn't think about that. chevy'smom will have to find out...
Do you think it could be puppy clumsiness (sp)? I know Apollo trips himself all the time. I have never noticed him walking strange on his legs, but he does hop like a rabbit an awful lot.
Don't panic - just get her in to the vet asap.
Danielle--hmm...it could be puppy clumsiness. I just worry that something might be wrong. I will be taking her to the vet during the week and asking what they think.

Anyone else???
I too think puppy awkwardness. My boy was a worry as a puppy. I spent lots of $$, thinkin pano ect... At 8 mnths he is the picture of health and I am a poor but relieved owner.
8 weeks that's so young. she's far from having control of her legs. they're all over the place at that age. go with your instincts. if you feel or think you see something is wrong go the Vet or go to a specialist. she's probably just growing into herself. my dog looked sloppy and all over the place for awhile. i hope all turns out well for you and the puppy, good luck.
My kids always thought my dog, Timber, walked funny as a pup and worried about his back legs.

I did get him X-rayed, but not until about ten months and the Doc, who does many for OFA said the dog was fine.

He was right.
Riley's walk was odd and his rear end was very clumsy and obviously weak at 8 wks. Now at 16 weeks, his hind feet still do "funny things". He is a little more sure-footed now, and his legs are getting stronger, but he still has the puppy awkwardness. I think it is because he is growing so quickly that he constantly has to readjust his stride to compensate for those longer legs that keep having to bear more and more weight.
Well, just call me paranoid
She is walking much better, still a tad clumsy looking, and I've been reassured talking with the vet and the breeder (and seeking advise on here!).

Chevy, they can cause us to worry a whole lot over nothing sometimes. LOL I remember the first time Rocky came down with Pano.
