Hey guys,

so basically my puppy threw up about at about 1:00 pm today and has been acting lethargic afterwards. He drank some water but he hasn't taken in any food or a treat or anything. I suspect the heat but he's just not acting himself at all. He just seems out of it, a little bit tired.

I didn't notice him eat any nasty food, I've watched him all day long. He ate this morning fine and hasn't been acting weird afterwards. Anyone have anything? I don't wanna take a trip to the vet if I don't have to. Thank you very much

He is still laying down right now yes. He hasn't eaten anything since he vomited, basically been about an hour and a half.

His vomit appeared to be normal, neutral colored like a light brownish, looked like what he ate at breakfast.

He responds to any contact and he gets up and moves when I move but then lays down when I stop. His bowl movements were normal for today as well.

if he doesn't want to eat, don't force him.
as long as he is drinking, peeing & pooing ok, and not vomiting repeatedly, i wouldn't hit the panic button yet.
do keep a close watch on him, though.
He hasn't been outside much today, and he is in our house which is about 70 degrees right now. He only goes out right now for bowl movements.

hey guys,

Yea I went to banfield just got back now. He had some diarrhea and it appeared to have blood in it when he was at the store. The vet gave him 3-4 meds, but his fecal and his parvo came back negative so we really can't do much other then give him his meds and see how he does.

He got some ID prescription wet dog food, he ate some when we got home and he drank a decent amount of water. He is still peeing fine as well. Right now he's just laying down, I don't blame the little guy he must be worn out. Anyone have any other ideas?

well the parvo tests were negative on him so thats not something that I worry about now.

he's 100% fine now again, acting and eating exactly the same way he always does. He played with my moms dog yesterday fine and never was tired even at night. He woke me up at 7 this morning to get him his food that he loves so much now (shoulda never started him on wet food lol). I think everything passed, and it was just soemthing he ate.

I got him from a breeder near the chesterfield, allentown area though by dicks sporting goods

I went out today and got him Natural Balance brand food, and I got him a new bone to play with as well. He only had that one rawhide from my GFs moms house, and thats only when he's there so I'll make sure to tell her to not give it to him anymore.
