I posted about the sad little guy called Chocolate in Febuary. Well, the lucky Chessie is on his way to a new family!

Chocolate was found by lady in Pasco, WA. he had 2 front broken legs and had been wandering for some time.

I got meet Chocolate in person last weekend when I had Kayos in to the vet and he is a neat dog, it so fortunate that many caring people pulled together and fought for his survival.

Thank you for the update here.....I had been posting them on a lab forum. The exposure he was given certainly played a big role for him as people all over the country donated for his medical costs.

Yes he certainly did get a lot of exposure! Dr. Thorson at Meadow Hills is our vet and she said they were overwhelmed at the response.

It was so cool to meet him too. He just looked up at me, checked me out for about 30 seconds and decided I was okay and he came over for some loving. Almost just like a GSD!

We had actually considered applying to adopt him but we already have 3 dogs and 4 cats. We are also mobile with our jobs and subject to move any time and did not want to move him away from the support and care at WSU.

Sounds like he ended up in a great home!

Spokane - although my dad lives in Kennewick, I do get down their sometimes, but not usually with the dogs. How far away are you from there?

You were lucky to meet him - I would have loved to! Did you see the picture of him in the limo? It was priceless!!

Yeah it was a neat picture. And he loves that yellow ball!

Umatilla is about 35 minutes from Kennewick. I am a memebr of the dog training club in the Tri-Cities so go up quite a bit.
