Due to us camping with family and family friends whom have K9s of their own, we have decided to try and use different commands that the 'typical' phrases. to avoid any type of confusion.

i was curious if anyone else did the same?

for example, instead of asking/telling Karma "wana go for a ride?" or "get in the car!" we have her trained to get into the truck/vehicle on the phrase "Karma, beer run!" and she jumps right in! and when we are at a location and need to get her out it's "Karma, dismount!" and she gets out. This is key for us, due to the fact we have two kiddos in car seats. So we want them unstrapped, and out of the truck before Karma. That way we have a handle on the kiddo(s) and a hand on the leash prior to exiting the vehicle.

I know some people use different languages (German being the most common i believe), but is there anything else that is used by fellow owners on here?

I tend to have direct commands as well as conversational phrases.
Load-up= get in the vehicle
Neit(sp?)= no
Excuse me= stop your current action/out of my space
Door= go wait by the door
Look= follow where my foot is pointing to i.e. the food I dropped etc
Chill= relax
We also have a whole language of whistles lol

lol your avatar cracks me up..

my bullies and Karma do know when i do a certain whistle to come to me/the door because they are either going inside, or getting a treat/food.
