I've seen about 500 neuters done this way. LOL.

Sometimes the scrotum shrinks and sometimes it doesn't. Frag was neutered at 2 years old and his barely shrunk... he still has a hairy sac hanging there, but he was very well endowed as well. :p

Interesting. I thought they removed everything. Now, I've only had one male dog neutered, but they removed both his tackle and tackle box.

Why do they just remove the testes and not both?
My guess is because it's a lot quicker, less painful, cheaper, and quicker to heal with a smaller incision. And, not as easy to open up accidentally when dogs start rough housing before they should.
