Not that you would believe it today, with our 38-degree morning today. But really...it was hot this week...lol.

Discoe says "I AM A DELICATE FLOWER AND WILL WILT IN THIS UNFORGIVING SUN! Bring me THE HOSE!"

And so she was brought the hose.

The more water the better in our house...We just got back from the UP, Tess was a wet mess the whole trip...she didn't seem to mind that Lake Superior is freezing...:)

I used to vacation in the Keewenaw just north of Houghton. It's beautiful there year around.

I'm seriously considering retirement there.

Lol. she got mad because after playing in the hose spray for about 10 minutes, she then expected to go in the house and just kept camping out by the front door. When I escorted her to the backyard, she then decided that she would dry herself off by rolling on the patio. It didn't work.
Discoe probably would love a trip to the UP...If there's anything she loves, it's being wet and a mess.

I'm only now getting more into exploring Michigan. I've heard nice things about that area. Last year, my fiance and I went to Holland and fell in love with that area. I'm hoping that we can go back this year, even though we already missed the Tulip Festival.

Aw, Tess is beautiful! She looks like she's having a great time, too. Perhaps we should make that our next destination instead of another trip to Holland...
You know it, Lies...lol. I'm standing here and freezing, as we speak. Just had on a tank top the other day...now I have on a long-sleeved tee and a hoodie. Will likely be back to the tank this time next week. Still, I'm not sure I'd want to live anyplace else!

Some days in July it would be 75°F inland and on the shores of Superior it would be 60°F with a 20 kt wind blowing.

I love it, but you have to be prepared for the weather.

I love the variance in the weather around here. Not a big fan of some of the winter days, particularly the dry cold ones that dump 3' of snow on us with a 6" sheet of ice underneath. But surprise weather can be kind of fun...lol

Not for much longer...lol. I'm packing up some of this 45 degrees Fahrenheit and will be on my way shortly. If I have to freeze, everyone has to freeze...lol.

I took Nikon to work and I wore flip-flops thinking it would get into the 60s. Now I'm too cold to go walk him! We call it "sleeping weather", feels great at night. It was 85 in my house earlier this week. I do wish it were hot during the day though.

It is pretty good at night. I usually just crack a window to give the room a slight chill, then bundle up under my blankets. I usually sleep like a baby. Discoe and I went for a little walk this morning (against my better judgement upon stepping out the door) and while it was nice, I'd have preferred a bit more sun just to cut the chill, since there are so many trees and buildings throwing so much shade anyway. I think we only got about a mile in before I just turned around and started heading back home...lol.
It would be nice to have that 75-80 during the day, then it can drop to all the 45s and 50s at night that it wants. I can't sleep when it's hot. I remember a day last summer when it was still close to 90 degrees at 9pm. That was the most terrible night I could remember...lol. It was too hot to even sit still.

Yeah last summer we broke down and put a window AC unit in our bedroom. It was 90 on the main floor of my house (which usually means 5-10 degrees warmer upstairs, 10 degrees cooler in the basement). I love sleeping under the covers but I like to be warm during the day.

We were gone for 10 days, and wore flip-flops, tank tops and shorts, then finished in waterproof hikers, down coats and gloves...Crazy but wonderful...can't wait to go back..
