The entertainment of Chicken Feet

I introduced raw Chicken Feet to my dogs this weekend. By far, it's the grosses thing I've ever done...but it's so entertaining to watch them eat them. The Maggie (mini doxie) carries it around in her little mouth proudly displaying it for all to see. Tug (the Golden) eats it slowly, crunching away at it for as long as he can attempting to avoid eating it quickly. And Hondo chomps it down quickly, crunching loudly with his mouth open, always watching me as my stomach turns.

We had neighbors stop by Sunday evening. I'd given the dogs chicken feet about an hour earlier. We were sitting on the porch when the male neighbor screached like a girl, "What in the hec is in Maggie's (the mini doxie) mouth?" Hubby turned and looked and stated, "Chicken feet... we fed them the last of the neighborhood children this morning."

You crew HAS to be the entertainment of the neighborhood!

I could not be you neighbor w/o having stock in Depends b/c I'd be peeing myself everyday from laughing so hard.

Thanks for another funny post!
You should have seen the looks we got at Food Town. They had drum sticks on sale for .59 a pound. So we bought a boat load of packages. Hondo eats frozen drum sticks. Then we threw in several packages of chicken feet, two packages of hearts and gizzards, and two cases of canned dog food (Hondo will only eat his Diamond if I mix in some stinky Alpo).

I kept thinking everyone at the store thinks Hubby and I are into some type of vodoo and we're getting ready for some sacrafices this weekend for Halloween!

I always wonder what the people at my grocery store think of me when I buy the odds and ends. I have to make a point of saying, "it's for the dogs."

I love the "feeding the neighborhood children" line, that's hilarious! Sounds like something I would blurt out.

With those kinds of purchases so close to Halloween, I'm sure your house is the first one on the list for Trick-or-treaters, aren't you????

Geesh, I hope not. I don't mind the Trick-or-Treaters coming around, but I certainly can't be trusted with candy in the house!
This is exactly why when I see you've posted a new thread, I have to read it immediately. Too freakin funny!

I know what you mean....I never get any trick-or-treaters, but for some reason I keep buying halloween candy. The sad part...it's usually gone by the time the night's over. Ok, I confess, it's usually gone before Halloween even gets here.
