Teddy was adopted from the board/shelter in February, and since then we have been to the VET multiple times. His ears/skin issues are back with avengence. We have done 3 rounds of Predisone; Baytril oral and drops. (Now we are on only Baytril oral and drops).
As soon as the 2x a day pred stops his ears flair back up. He is on Canidae food (his skin and fur have improved a bit) with no treats, no table food.
This guy has been on so many antibotics, I am sure his system is a smidge out of balance.

I am out of ideas and looking for suggestions. Anyone know of any good natural ideas/cures? This poor guy keeps shaking his head and he must be so uncomfortable. We have run every blood test, thyroid is low (but tested normal) and have just decided to try the thyroid med and see if they help.

Any natural ear infection cures, steriods, etc. Help Teddy not be sad!

It almost sounds like a food allergy. Have you ever tried a home cooked diet with one protien and one carb and see how Teddy does?

Until you can get to the bottom of the problem, I have use a poduct called Zymox, it is an enzyme base ear treatment you can get with or without Predisone. I get mine from http://www.entirleypets.com

Onyx has had a right ear infection(yeast) off and on since Sept. and Wed I went to the vet, the swab also showed bacteria. So she is on an oral antibiotic and eardrop for the yeast then 20 min later, eardrop for the bacteria 2x a day. After three days, she finally hasn't been scratching her ear and shaking her head! I hope we are finally getting this handled, she has never been on steroids and I wouldn't want to start. She is fed raw. Have you seen the blue powder ear treatment? There is a thread on that:

I go throught the same thing. It is awful to see them so uncomfortable:(
I read to try and figure out if theyre allergic to teir food, switch them to something different like a fish if he is on Turkey now, etc.
i have switched to Taste of the Wild Salmon and see some improvement.
So this is about the only things I can tell you. I hope it helps!
I have read some dogs dont do well on Chicken and turkey, etc. Poultry, I guess.

I went to the vet for a heartworm blood draw, and was set to have them do allergy test from that blood. I give fish oil and that would have squewed the results, so we didn't order the test. Saved $150.
I will do an elimination of poultry if her ears haven't cleared by two weeks of treatment. The vet told me that most allergy tests aren't worth the $$ as they don't show up food allergies accurately. So it is best to do an elimination diet. I feed the TOTW salmon with canned mackarel, twice a week to give the dogs a fish source. I would hate to have to give up poultry, as that is the main raw protein they eat!
