OK............. I now have the dog that I have previously posted about!!!!!!!! "Simone" was dropped off yesterday (6/18) at animal control and we picked her up this morning (6/19). I have pictures that I can send anyone who is interested.
So.... now I need help in finding her a home! So that is where all of you come in. PLEASE help me in finding this poor girl a forever home!!!!
This is what was noted from her medical check: She is negative for heart worms and her fecal sample was negative for internal parasites. They noted moderate dental tartar, nuclear sclerosis (opaque eyes), possibly arthritis and a hard lump on her nose. All normal things due to her age. She is about 9 or 10. She is spayed and micro chipped.
When we got to animal control this morning believe it or not our vet was actually there. WHAT PERFECT TIMING!!!!!!!!!! He was dropping off his rabies paperwork. Anyway, he actually checked over the dog as well! And she checked out good with him too, which was great as I trust him 100%.
Animal Control would not help me in seeing how she is with cats. However, in the lobby there was a cat in a cage, who was rather loud. So we walked her by the cat and she did great!! On our way home we stopped at a friends house who has children. She did GREAT with the children. We have three dogs of our own which we have introduced her to in a limited way. She did good with them. Our youngest male, who I thought we were going to have a problem with, is having issues with her. This is what we were afraid of with fostering her. But we will do our best to keep her while we continue to try and find her a home.
We gave her a bath and brushed her which she did fine with. She walks very well on a leash. She is said to be housetrained. And she seems to know basic commands.
PLEASE HELP ME in finding this sweet girl a forever home!!
Thank you!!!
