Hi everyone, I just saw that my 9 mnth old pup has a tongue sore, it was slighlty bleeding. I mean I'm thinking may be he bit his tongue by chance, should I worry? I'm gonna keep an eye on it, do u have any suggestions?. Thanks
My clumsy hooligans bite their tongues on a daily basis rough housing with one another. As long as its not a rip or a tear that would require treatment, they'll be fine, just keep an eye out that it doesnt get infected.
Same as Ailyn said. I assume the bleeding has stopped by now? My guy bites his tongue every now and then playing frisbee. I don't let him play again til it's healed. But the tongue heals faster than almost any other part of the body. Keep an eye on it. Make sure he doesn't eat anything funky that might cause further issues (poop eating comes to mind for some pups). But it should be fine.
