I used the TTouch techniques too, very fun for both of us and a great way to settle them down.

haha the T touche makes me laugh! i saw a lady do it to a tiger on tv once and i always do it to my pups and my family/friends think im crazy and that i made it up lol

also what i do is i sit on the floor with legs spread and have the dogs lay on the inside on my leg on their right side (i read its a dogs natural sleeping side) and i just say settle in a calm voice and pet them sofly, once they calm down on their own they can get up. its great because if i have to cut their nails or take them to a vet i can say settle and the know to lay down and be calm.
