SO mad

Over a month ago, I went on infodog to sign up for a show. The closing date was March 12 and I did this on Feb. 17. I have the confirmation e-mail. On the 20th of Feb, my card was charged. All week we never got any information. My friends didn't get theirs until Thurs, so they kept saying I'd probably get mine yesterday. Well I never did. The show started today, I even went to the match last night. At the match, they said they had no info for the real show, so I tried to contact the secretary but the contact e-mail given bounced back. Today my friends went down for the show (I was only doing one day) and they found the secretary to ask her and put her on the phone with me. She said she received papers from MBF, but my entry is not with them. She said maybe mine was late and didn't come through, but I paid a month before the closing date! So now I am out all that money and have to cancel all my plans tomorrow? MBF will say they sent it, the kennel club will say they never received it....

Wow, I can understand you anger!

I would contact your credit card company to see if you can file a grievance with them and get your money back....

just a thought
I would contact both places and show them the charges on your account (remember to hide all account info). If they do not do the RIGHT thing and issue you a FULL credit, dispute the charges with your credit card. You should not be out the money and not be able to attend the show because it was not your fault.
Bummer. That's not right, but I've heard about it happening to others.

It seems that if you have proof of when MBF charged your card and can get the program which does not have you listed, you should be able to get your $$$$ back/maybe applied to the next MBF show you attend? I think MBF puts the programs together for the shows they run so it's shouldn't be a matter of what they sent to the kennel club. Heaven knows the trials cost enough without getting excluded due to someone else's error.
I went to the MBF site and clicked on the contact link for online registrations and it pops open an e-mail, so I sent them all the information. I know what they will say, it's written on the site that they are not responsible if the mail doesn't get there on time. Well, here's what I don't get - the secretary HAD papers from MBF and mine was not with them. WTF? I signed up a month before the closing date!

I don't even care about the money, we wanted to show! My friends are all there and I just realized my crate and stuff is there, we brought it all down last night. It's not in town here so it's not like I can just pop over and get it.

You know what else kills me? I signed up a month before the closing date, right...well my friend signed up for one day and then changed her mind, the secretary let her add the second day after the closing date (she hasn't even paid yet and the show started today).

I guess there's no point in complaining to the show. If they didn't get my papers, they didn't get them.

I don't think it's an MBF run show, but I do have a pdf with the numbers. I was comparing today's numbers and tomorrow's numbers, so I called my friend and said that I should be one of the five numbers listed for tomorrow but not today. She went to the table to find out my number and they said I am not any of them. I don't know who they are, but none are me. I never received any info from MBF or the kennel club, which is why I was suspicious, but my friends had the same problem (just got their numbers in the past day) and they are all entered.
Whenever you enter online and you have a confirmation number they are supposed to honor that even if you don't have the judging program that comes in the mail.

I would definitely refute the charge on your card. Entries ain't cheap!!!
Oh, this is rich!! I called MBF and they were REALLY eager to absolve any liability, lol, so they handed over FedEx info and a tracking number proving that they shipped my papers the day after I signed up and it was delivered to the home of the trial secretary the next morning! This was all a month before the show's closing date. So, the person who told me on the phone that she never received an entry for me is the person to whom it was delivered over a month ago.

So now I've made a gazillion phone calls, but can't get ahold of the club, the secretary, or the trial chair. Ringing phones, busy signals, answering machines... I left a message with the trial chair asking simply whether or not it's worth it for me to get up at the butt crack of dawn and drive down there.
