I go crazy when there's cake or ice cream involved with dinner too, but that doesn't mean I need to eat more. You have to look at your own dog to decide if he's the right weight or not and then feed accordingly.
Should I be feeding him more?
When Ozzy finishes eating, he'll follow me around, hoping I'll give him some more. I feed him 1/2 of a quarter cup of dry, along with a tablespoon of canned per meal. He gets two meals per day.
He didn't start this behavior until I started mixing in the canned with it. He goes NUTS over mealtime now. Spinning, whining, crying, barking, etc. until that bowl hits the ground. He cleans it out in about 30 seconds.
He's not underweight. He weighs just under 6 lbs. He's an almost 16 week old Pom. He's not overweight either. (Hard to tell unless you feel him, but I can feel his ribs and spine, but it's not like they're sticking out).
But given his behavior, am I feeding him enough? Or is he just being greedy?

you could try giving him a little extra but it sounds like he's got food issues lol. I know when i get something tasty its hard for me to not beg for more!
