Teddy is in desparate need of healthcare and a home. The shelter personell are working on his ears and he's getting basic vet care. His age is a guess. He seems like a senior but his teeth are in pretty good shape...they think he's 8 or 9. Clark Summit is just north of Scranton, in Northeastern Penna.

Teddy came to us as a stray on 11/28/07 with infected eyes, badly infected ears etc.... We treated him with cephalexin and otomax daily, vacccinated him, flea treated him, wormed him and put a few pounds on him. The only thing he needs is a good bath and a neuter. You could smell the discharge from his ears from 10 feet away when he first came in, but they look good now. Even though he was in pain, he let us document his condition on arrival. He is good with other dogs and his favorite activity is eating moist food and then burying his nose in your lap so that he can clean himself up.
Here's the deal...we have to have the floors refinished in the shelter so we need to get as many dogs out as possible. He is a very calm, very affectionate older boy. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Mary Ann's right. They have two kennels that are helping them with boarding so they don't have to euth any dogs. They are very rescue friendly. I'm getting updated pictures of him. They say he may have some hearing loss, but is just the sweetest old guy.
Is there anyone out there who would want this senior. He has a lot of love to give I have pulled two such boys on my own in the past 6 mos and they now have wonderful homes. I just can't do this now. One guy we had to sedate to even clean his ears and he was 40 lbs under weight, he is now at 100 and lookin good. Come on where are oue senior lovers?? I do know every one is trying.......he just makes me sad. Hopefully someone will get him.
Here are new pictures of Teddy. Ear infections are clearing up and he's putting on some weight. Staff says he's a big sweet teddy bear and needs a forever home desparately. They have seen no behavioral problems!!!
What are you doing still on-line? Go get Teddy! He is adorable!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure one more dog will be no trouble at all. I bet he doesn't eat much or need any attention...well, not much, anyway...
I'm still online because as I was walking out the door...the school calleed...my son is sick....gotta go get him now. Karen (remember CoCo's foster) was going with me...and she is already enroute....she will still go and check him out...and call me when she gets home.
