This girl is on the list to go next so she needs out now. Is anyone close by that could help out? Is there a rescue close by who could pull her untill we get transport help up to NY?

I talked with the shelter this am..
They do not know her HW status. She is very friendly..
They seem very rescue friendly..
no Pull fee for a rescue..

I would like to adopt this girl...
I am not rescue just a foster for BrightStar.
This would not be a BrigthStar dog.

Sigourney has the potential to be a beautiful dog. A good grooming would do wonders for her coat. The coat underneath is shiny and black. She was picked up as a stray. She is wearing a collar with no ID. She is a very sweet dog. She walks well on a leash and has had some obedience training. Will sit when asked. She is calm and quiet, does not jump up on you when you enter her kennel. She gets along well with her kennel mate.

Yes...I am told this shelter is very rescue friendly...even instances of them staying after hours to wait for rescues.......

I just got off the phone with a person who works with this shelter.
She can help get this girl to vet/boarding.
I am Calling the shelter in the am to have this girl pulled and vetted.
Please keep your fingers crossed for this girl until we have her pulled and safe.

She is safe at the vets/boarding.

I bet she'll feel a lot better once all that fur is gone too! Yikes. That's a job for the furminator if I ever saw one

I have some really bad news on this girl she tested for a strong HW+ and is loaded with hook and whip worm as well...
They said she was about 1year old...

It just seem so senseless and dog that young could be such a strong HW+ .
To think for only a few dollars a month this could have been advoided.

Talked to the vet.. They are treating her for the parasites now..
Getting her UTD on shots..

I will try and get her on transport for this weekend to get her here.
Then have my vet see her and figure out the best course of treatment..
