This adorable purebred 6-mo-old GSD puppy is so sweet. He's great w/ people and other dogs. He is a good boy.

He is scheduled to die this Thurs p.m., Aug. 2 at the high-kill Murray County Shelter (just north of Atlanta and just south of Chattanooga, TN)! Please help them live!!

I just spoke with AC- the guy is surrendering his dog because he is "too much for them too handle". I kind of let out a sigh and said oh I wont even say what I am thinking- and she said "you can- because its probably true!!" She was very nice, what has happened is that they are SO FULL, that she convinced this guy to take him back home after she took a picture, and give her a couple more days to try to place him. When he does come back to the shelter, he WILL go on the euth. list- so he desperately needs a place to go!!She said he is between 6-8 months old, was a little nervous when he was there, but thats no surprise- he knows something is wrong! She also said he calmed down some and let her pet him, and laid his head in her lap. I left my name and number with her and asked her to call me when the owner does bring him back.
Here is the plus- the have PAID TRANSPORTS- only 75-85 dollars she said. They do come to NY, and other places up north, he would just have to be vetted there before he leaves.(health cert., shots, etc...)

I will take this boy in Colorado . Tom is going right through there and I have someone that is pulling him for me . No since in him going back to the shelter .

The puppy is safe with Tom and soon to be headed to Colorado . No one gave us his name so Tom and I named him Dolf .
A new name and a new beginning out west . <LOL>

Well, it took about 5 seconds before I was a goner..

The picture above doesn't begin to do him justice, nor do the pictures that I took. Dolf is stunning, sweet, and loves everyone. He has an incredible disposition. He also has HUGE feet. Sure wish he was going to be mine, but with my nearly 16 year old heart dog Murphy, I just couldn't do it to her. Otherwise, I would have been on my knees begging Connie to let me take him home...

Connie - I blurred out your face, because I knew I would never hear the end of that one!
