This young German Shepherd was found wandering with her sister in the East Carroll Rd. area of Carroll County (GA). Her shelter name is Samantha. She is about 6 months old and has had her parvo and distemper shots. Samantha is a great young dog who will make a wonderful companion. Her sister has already been adopted.

Phone the Carroll County Animal Shelter (770-834-8150 ext. 10) or visit the shelter from 9:00 a.m. till 4:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays. Adoption fee: $20.

Kay, I finally got in to here I called this shelter today and got treated harshly the info on the petfinder link the woman claimed to be false they are a no kill shelter and she also told me I can only adopt if I apply in person and I live in GA.

Where would she need to go?

She would have to come up to New York, the central area. We of course would be will to do some traveling. The real issue right now is they don't adopt out of state, so we would need someone in state to pull.

Carroll Co. <u>Humane Society </u>is no kill. Carroll County Animal Control is a county run/kill shelter. It is posted on all their petfinder posts, and I highlighted it on my original post. I don't understand what happened.

Most of their dogs are never put in the adoption area. They are kept in the back, and no one ever sees them before they die..

Can you help you seem to have the knowledge we need for this shelter. I was just writing what the woman told me on the phone and I did see what Petfinder was posting. I could not understand I was offering a home for Samantha. Kay is my neighbor and has the necessary connections to work on her transport. Can You or do you know someone in GA that cah help us.
