The following dogs are currently at the Charleston Animal Society in Charleston, South Carolina. Our new shelter is already packed! Although these dogs are all available for rescue/adoption, many are not on our main adoption floor due to lack of space. If interested in any of these dogs, please contact Leigh Ann today at [email protected] or call the shelter directly at 843-329-1555 and ask for Steve or stop by 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406. Please have intake number when emailing, calling or coming in.


All privately adopted dogs/puppies must be spayed/neutered prior to leaving the shelter. Our adoption fee for dogs/puppies is $105 which includes a checkup, all shots, deworming, microchip and spay/neuter.



Rescues: Please email for rescue fees for specific dogs. Fees vary based on condition of dog and services performed.


Help with pulling, vetting and transport is available - Just ask! - Email [email protected] if out of the Charleston area.


Email is checked three times a day seven days a week by the rescue/adoption staff and is the preferred method of communication.
