i was giving leather bones to my dog until i found out it was really bad for dog and can be also almost poison ...

then i decided to buy a real bone . kind of femur .. smoked flavor ... but these bones making me trippin . im always scared my dog with struggle himself with a chunk . Or that a chunk will stay stuck into the intestine .

the first pic is the bone itself .. it was brown but he licked it to death..
the second pic is a chips that felt from it after few bitting . that was scaring me the most .

do uguys use that kind of bones ???? if not , what king of bones or what i should give him to bite ?

those are weight baring bones, and thus very strong. They can (an in my case did) break a tooth. At best, they will cause your dog to wear down its teeth. I do not give femurs. I have heard knuckle bones and rib bones are good.

I would give fresh raw knucklebones, the cartilege is nutritious and the bones are spongier than the weight bearing bones. Put it in the fridge for the next round when the dog is ready to give up, don't let it sit out.
You should never give smoked bones or bones that have dried out, they can splinter and like Eddie posted, break teeth. Some do with no problems, but there is always that chance and dental bills are very expensive.
