Race track around the coffee table?

913 Views 5 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  sklippstein
My 6 month old GSD Tessa constantly chases and plays with our 1 year old Daschund. It's kind of like a race track around the coffee table. Should we continue to let them play in this manner, or should we stop them and only allow them to play outside or in the house when we allow it. It doesn't bother us much, I was just wondering what you guys think and if I'm not seeing a potential problem in the future regarding their obedience?

If you don't have a problem with it and there is not anything they can hurt themselves on, I say let them have their fun.

Looking at that picture (which is very cute BTW) I would have some concern about the slippage with the area rug.
I wish I had not allowed Dante to run around the coffee table.
It's one thing when he was a pup but now as an 85 pound adult...you can imagine

Oh Barb, wait until you've got a second dog! In our house it's the dining room table, and they'll do lap after lap after lap.....
Mine used to do that until they got too old. Truthfully it didn't bother me unless one of the kids got involved then someone always ended up crying.
