Do these collars pinch in typical prong fashion even though they are the click lock?

Thanks everyone. Just to be clear, I’m not ordering one to use quite yet, my pup is still young. Just doing my research

That is the type of collar I use. It does work a bit differently but it is still effective. I have a long haired shepherd and this type tends to get less tangled in his thick neck fur. I find that if I put the clip on the back of the neck, the prongs add no pressure to the neck. If the dog leans into the leash, that is when the prongs add the discomfort. Most people like the martingale style of collar with the idea that it adds pressure more evenly around the neck.

I have a herm Sprenger prong but with smaller prongs and a leather clasp. I paid $40 with shipping if i remember correctly. I’ve had it two years and still looks good as new, I also have a HS fursaver of the same great quality.
