I don't see anything wrong with it. If you're comfortable and the dog is as well, then I think it's your business and your life, so you can do whatever you like!
Jesse has been sleeping in our bed since he was 10 weeks old with no problems, all my dogs in life have always slept with me. I am alpha and he knows it, he works for everything he gets including getting up on the bed he has to sit and wait till I tell him it is ok to get up.
Just make sure you consider the obvious, that when he is a full 80+ lbs very soon, he'll still think its okay to be in bed with you. For that very reason, I have not once let Rajko be on any beds/couches.

This is the best way to look at it!

If you are NOT going to want an 80+ lb DOG on the bed, do NOT let him on the bed as a puppy. It is a lot harder to break a habit than to prevent one.

That said, I let me dogs on the couch and bed. BUT, they all know that if I say "off" they MUST get off immediately.
