Curious is it ok to name a puppy after its father, My hubby is so obsessed with our future puppy's father and his names can we name our puppy the same name? Will he still be accepted for schutzhund?

The litter naming convention follows the letters of the alphabet, but you could request a name and see if the breeder will allow it. For example, if the litter sire is VA Ingodd's Agassi, the sire of Jagenstadt's "L" litter, you could request the pup be named "Lagassi," which is close to the sire's name and would probably be Lagassi v Jagenstadt. On the other hand, people may think you named your dog after Emeril.

Of course, if the dog's registered name is Lasso v Jagenstadt, you could call the dog Fido, Gunner, Norbo, whatever you want.
