i took Jackson on a long walk today, longer than normal. i think we over did it. he came strait in and laid down to sleep. then about 10 minutes later he woke up and coughed/gagged a few times then went back to sleep. then he did it again about 5 minutes later. now he is asleep and nothing else has happened. from everything i have read a dog is probably not going to be sleeping if it is bloating, but i am a little nervous. any advice?

oh, we waited 2 hours after eating before we went on our walk.

false alarm, sorry about that! i think he just pulled too hard on his collar and hurt his throat.

If in doubt always call the vet, some advice over the phone can help hours of worry and they'll let you know right away if they're worried enough to have you come in. I'm glad he seems to be ok

if he is sleeping, probably not bloat right??
ummm, my boy Max woke from a nap and bloated, no food no water no exercise prior to the nap, run your hands down the sides, the left will be extended a little bit in the beginning stages
