Sasha is 13 weeks old and we are having a problem with her urinating in her crate. We have two sizes a smaller one ( tight squeeze) and a very large one (too big) . I wake up the first time I hear a whine and let her outside. With that being said the longest she is in the crate is 4 hours.

I just don't understand it because she was doing good for a week or so. She rarely has accidents in the house anymore.

I have a feeling I will be spending some money on a new crate, which I would prefer not to do. I tried re training crate by doing short periods but she she will still whine/cry and urinate.

Right now she is in the smaller kennel next to my bed. I wish I could leave her out with a puppy pad but she will destroy the house as the stinker all ready ripped up some linoleum . Overall she is a good puppy and listens though.

With that being said, suggestions or ideas... thanks

4 hrs. at 13 weeks may be too log for her...their all different. You can buy a divider that can go in the crate to make it smaller instead of buying a new one and take her out more often. She may also be urinating because she has slight separation anxiety- does she pee right when she goes in, or after she's been in their awhile? Also, if your not already feed her on a schedule and stick to it- it makes potty times more predictable:)

We feed her once in the Morning around 8am and Once at night around 6pm but we leave the water out all day. I put the water dish up around 7-8pm and she is in the crate around 10pm for the night and my wife usual will wake up to let her out at 4am. so 6 hrs. Which is a lot but she was doing this just fine. I will keep working on it though.

take some urine with you...using a pie plate is a good way to catch it. good luck!
