Have you ever taken a pet first aid course? my mother and I are thinking about taking one, she's a groomer and has a boarding kennel, and I do rally o, agility and am planning on doing lots of camping and hiking this spring/summer, so I thought it'd be a good idea!
Just wondering if anyone has any experiences, or if you feel like you could handle an emergency without the course? This one covers injury prevention, choking, CPR, bleeding and fractures.

I've taken a few, they were very good/useful.
I still want to take the Red Cross pet first aid certification course.

I'm trying to arrange one for our obedience training club-- the Red Cross course is offered at a boarding/grooming facility in our town.

My training club is sponsoring a class in June on canine first aid. We have licensed vet tech who also has a degree in early and middle school education teaching it for us. We're going to cover routine issues as well as trauma (dog fight, hit by a car, possible poisoning, etc). This is a first for us; I'm hoping it goes well enough to repeat as often as people want to take it.
