Tonight was nail trimming night at our house: cracks me up how all three dogs react differently. Echo, the big brave GSD of the house, lies down and stares off into space, as if by ignoring me and the clippers she can will us away. Ruby, the fiesty sheltie, yelps and shivers with each clip (even though she has never had a trim that cut too short, or caused discomfort or pain). Tori, the Rottie mix, first runs to the basement to hide and then slowly creeps up the stairs when when she thinks we have forgotten her...she always looks traumatized to learn that, alas, we are still waiting for her. But, really, no issues with the trimming - no one bites, growls, or fights us once we start. Gotta love that, esp when 2 of the 3 dogs weigh over 80 pounds!
