Despite our best effort to get Bogart used to having his paws handled clipping his nails takes two of us and is a big undertaking. We were wondering about the hair in between the pads on his paws. Should it be trimmed? If so, what is the best way when you have a dog that hates his feet touched. Here are a couple of pics, does it seem too long?

At that length I would not bother clipping or trimming the hair. If the fur totally covers the paw pads so he cannot get any traction then I would trim it. I have to trim the Huskies furry feet every so often. Tika and Chimo get theirs trimmed when I see them slipping on the floor.

For my guys they learn to respect me handling their feet. They do not have to like it and they do not get in trouble for occasionally pulling their foot back. BUT if they REPEATEDLY pull their foot back or try to leave before I release them they get a verbal correction.
